Why I Don’t Offer Brow Lamination at Little Wax Room

Brow lamination has become one of the most talked-about beauty trends in recent years. You’ve probably seen the brushed-up, fluffy brows all over Instagram and TikTok—and while they can look amazing on some, I’ve chosen not to offer brow lamination at Little Wax Room.

Here’s why:

1. It Can Damage Your Brows

Lamination works by breaking down the natural bonds in your brow hairs so they can be reshaped. Sounds simple enough, right? But the chemicals involved are strong—and repeated treatments can leave your brow hairs dry, brittle, and prone to breakage. In the long run, this can thin your brows out, making it much harder to grow them back to their natural fullness.

2. Not Great for Sensitive Skin

The skin around your brows is incredibly delicate. If you’re using skincare products like retinols, AHAs, or anything active, brow lamination can easily cause irritation, redness, or even chemical burns. I've seen cases where clients came to me with flaking, peeling skin after a lamination gone wrong. It’s just not worth the risk.

3. Short-Term Results, Long-Term Consequences

Yes, the initial effect can be striking—but brow lamination isn’t a one-and-done treatment. It needs to be maintained regularly, and if it's overdone or done incorrectly, it can seriously compromise your brow health. Many clients come to me after over-laminating their brows, needing to go through a recovery process to restore their natural growth.

4. It Doesn’t Align With My Brow Philosophy

At Little Wax Room, I’ve built my reputation on a more natural, restorative approach to brow shaping. I work with your natural hair growth, not against it. My goal is to enhance what you already have, without relying on heavy processing or trends that may not serve your brows in the long run.

I believe in low-maintenance, healthy brows that look amazing every day—not just the day you leave the salon.
